Tourism & Travel Management(Major) Degree Course

Introduction:

Tourism & Travel Management (TTM) degree programme has been introduced by UGC in this college affiliated to University of Calcutta since 1999 -2000 sessions. The semester wise B.A./B.Com (Major) in Tourism & Travel Management under CBCS (Choice Based Credit System) effective from 2018-2019 sessions.

Objective:

The main aim to introduce of this course is to create awareness among the students regarding tourism industry and also make them capable to industry oriented.

Eligibility:

A candidate who has passed Higher Secondary from WBCHSE/ CBSE/ISC examination  from any stream ( Arts/ Commerce/ Science) with a minimum percentage of 45% can apply for admission in this course.

Course Pattern

The Under Graduate course includes both theoretical and practical elements. The course consists of Six semesters. During the course  each student shall be required to undertake a practical training with the help of Dept. of Tourism Govt. of West Bengal.

B.A.( Major) in Tourism & Travel Management( TTM) programme:

1. Main subject Tourism & Travel Management
2. Two Generic Elective subject i.e. History & Sociology
3. One compulsory language paper Bengali/ English/Hindi
4. One compulsory paper of Environmental Studies

B.Com( Major) in Tourism & Travel Management (TTM) programme:

1. Main subject Tourism & Travel Management
2. Two Generic Elective subject i.e. Financial Accounting,

Cost & Management Accounting

1. One compulsory language paper Bengali/ English/Hindi
2. One compulsory paper of Environmental Studies
