2023-2024

1. Number of Meetings: 02
2. Report Summary:
   • Meeting held on 06.10.2023
     The agenda for the meeting was to discuss and plan the activities of the Cell for the next academic year. It was decided that the Cell would organise special lectures by inviting speakers on contemporary and relevant topics.
   • Meeting held on 30.01.2023
     It was resolved that the Research Cell would organise a Special Talk on “Use of AI in Library Services”
     • Action Taken
       Dr. Sudip Banerjee, Librarian, City College of Commerce and Business Administration delivered a talk to elucidate Artificial Intelligence Basics, Government Initiatives and Participation of Library professionals in AI initiatives.

2022-2023

2. Report Summary:
   • Meeting held on 08/08/2022
     The agenda for the meeting were, a) Discussion regarding a proposed two-day National Workshop on ‘Art of Academic Writing’, and b) Confirming the name of the Resource Persons for the workshop and designing a schedule for the workshop. c) Resolution to use a Google form for registration for “Art of Academic Writing” workshop.
   • Meeting held on 23/08/2022.
     To discuss work-progress regarding the “Art of Academic Writing” workshop.
     • Action Taken
       A successful online two days, National Level workshop on “Art of Academic Writing” was held on 29^th and 30^th August 2022. The workshop was held in collaboration with IQAC of Maharani Kasiswari College.
   • Meeting held on 15/05/2023
     The agenda for the meeting was to discuss and plan a tentative schedule for a National Level webinar on “Intellectual and Property Rights” (IPR).
     • Action Taken
       Resource persons were contacted for the proposed webinar. However, due to repeated overlapping with CU examinations and internal examinations, the workshop was not possible to be conducted in the academic year 2023.

2021-2022

During this period the college premises were closed, and physical meetings were not possible.

2020-2021

Due to the pandemic situation, the college premises were shut following the Government guidelines. However, the Research Cell, Maharani Kasiswari College in collaboration with the Department of Commerce organized a fruitful webinar that ensured a momentum in the academic rigour despite the unprecedented pandemic period. Despite the situational hurdles, the Cell carried forward the task of publishing the Editorial Book.

2019-2020

2. Report Summary:
   • A Research Cell meeting was held on 21/01/2020. The agenda for the meeting was determination of plan of action of the Cell

Resolutions taken

• Publication of a multidisciplinary edited volume.
• Application for ISBN.
• Creation of a dedicated email id for MKC Research Cell.
• Appeal for a dedicated computer and printer to be used only for the Research Cell in IQAC room.

Action Taken

• Email ID for MKC Research Cell created
• Members of the Research Cell regularly update seminar/publication alerts in Teachers’ Council WhatsApp group.
• Editorial Board for proposed publication nominated and discussions on cfp.
