As a crucial part of any administration system, the Grievance Redressal Cell in Maharani Kasiswari College has been formed to address grievances lodged by the students as well as the staff and address them, as per requirement. The institution, along with the Grievance Redressal Cell aims to promote a safe, secure and harmonious environment to its students, teachers and all staff.
Definition of Grievance
Grievance refers to any kind of dissatisfaction or complaint, arising out of anything connected withMaharani Kasiswari College that any stakeholder of the college perceives to be unfair or unjust.
Objectives
- To provide all stakeholders of the college with a fair and impartial mechanism for redressal of their various grievances. Here stakeholder of the college refers to students, all academic and non-academic staff members.
- To resolve genuine grievances promptly, objectively and within a specific timeframe.
- To maintain a healthy and positive relationships between different stakeholders of the institution.
In all cases, complaints can be open or anonymous.
Mechanism of the Committee
- A student or staff member lodges complaint through the complaint box or directly approaches the HODs/cell members or fills form online at https://mkc.ac.in/statutory-cells/grievance-redressal/
- After the complaint is registered, the Grievance Redressal Cell calls a meeting where the nature of grievance is discussed.
- If the grievance found correct and true, the committee directs the concerned department or person to take measures. If required, the cell mediates between complainant and defendant against whom the complaint has been made
- The cell ensures that the grievances are resolved impartially, confidentially and within a specific timeframe.
- The cell will give report about the cases attended to and seek guidance from the higher authority, as and when required.
Procedure of Grievance Registration
Maharani Kasiswari College has adopted a four-way window system for registration of grievances by students and staff members. These include:
- Direct Registration of Grievances: Students and staff members can register by complaining directly to the chairperson/convenors/members of the Grievance Redressal Cell.
- Indirect Registration: In case of grievances, students and staff members can contact HODs of the concerned departments and register their complaints. In such a situation, the heads shall forward the complaints to the Grievance Redressal Cell.
- Dropbox Registration: Students and staff members can drop their complaints in the complaint drop box available beside the Principal’s room in the college
- Online Registration: Students can register complaints through the grievance redressal form available in the college website. They can also mail their grievances at the following mail ID: [email protected].
